On Wednesday, May 1st, Bourbons Bistro celebrates Derby Week with an evening of sips and smokes. Bluegrass Bourbon Baron Jason Brauner will host a special Cigar and Bourbon tasting from 8:00 to 10:30 pm. Bourbon expert and founder of the BourbonBlog.com Tom Fischer will be on hand to educate and entertain with his vast bourbon expertise.

Tom has curated the following lineup of cigars, each chosen to pair perfectly with selected whiskeys. He will guide you through the nuances of each pairing.

1st Cohiba Blue Toro: This medium-bodied cigar features a blend of subtle spices and rich earthy tones. Its smooth texture is complemented by notes of leather and hints of creamy vanilla.

2nd Cohiba Black Toro: A quintessential Maduro that offers a balanced and medium profile. This cigar is layered with the deep, satisfying flavors of dark chocolate and espresso, with hints of black cherry and a smooth, peppery finish that enhances its complexity.

Finally, each guest will receive a Cohiba Connecticut to take with them and savor on Kentucky Derby Day. This Cohiba is celebrated for its smooth, approachable profile with bright notes of cedar, creamy almonds, and a touch of spice.
